PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES

𝗠𝗛𝗦 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗦𝗧𝗙, 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗙

Marikina High School (MHS) secured third place overall at the Division Science and Technology Fair (DSTF) Awarding on September 11, 2026, at Parang High School, with three entries advancing to the Regional Science and Technology Fair (RSTF).

MHS earned multiple placements and special recognitions across individual and team categories, led by a championship finish in Robotics Individual and Life Science Team.

Claire Chrizta C. Flores clinched first place in the Robotics Individual category and was named a Best Presenter, under the guidance of Ma’am Dianne Clarish M. Godoy.

Irish D. Caroc placed second in Physical Science Individual and also received the Best Presenter recognition for the category, coached by Sir Emil Constantine P. Buguina.

The Life Science Team, composed of Princess Wenifer C. Wahing, Gabriel Ian P. Isais, and Genisis P. Inoncio, captured first place and earned the Best Board Design award. The team was coached by Sir Vincent Tabianan and Ma’am Ma. Patricia Gomez.

Meanwhile, the STEM Innovation Expo Team of Liam A. Buguina, Patrick Iyvher R. Guillermo, and Pauleen Mae T. Abrigo secured third place under the mentorship of Sir Emil Constantine P. Buguina.

The Robotics Team, composed of Isiah Christian A. Vargas, Kellan Alen B. Valladores, and Prince Gian B. Villacer, finished fourth under coach Sir Jerwin Lopez.

Also placing fourth was the Mathematics Computational Science Team, composed of Andrei C. Pasiga, Jacob C. Dela Cruz, and Sean Gon D. Valdez, coached by Ma’am Mary Ann S. Alcaide.

The DSTF Awarding began at 8:00 a.m., recognizing student researchers who competed in various science, technology, and innovation categories at the division level.

With its third-place overall finish, multiple category placements, two Best Presenter citations, a Best Board Design award, and three RSTF qualifiers, MHS moves on to the regional level, where its qualifying entries will carry their research and innovations into the next stage of competition.
