BDONB Donates Cleaning and Painting Supplies to MHS

BDO Network Bank donated cleaning and painting supplies to Marikina High School (MHS) during a pre-opening program for Brigada Eskwela 2026 held on May 30, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. in the school’s Audio-Visual Room to support the implementation of Brigada Eskwela 2026.

According to Brigada Eskwela 2026 Coordinator Toribio L. Sarandi, the donation will help the school improve its facilities and prepare a cleaner and more conducive learning environment for learners before the opening of classes.

“Nagpapasalamat ang Marikina High School dahil ito ay isa sa mga napili niyong bigyan ng donation,” said Toribio L. Sarandi, Brigada Eskwela 2026 Coordinator.

Sarandi expressed the school’s gratitude to BDO Network Bank for including MHS among the beneficiaries of its community outreach initiatives and for supporting the objectives of Brigada Eskwela.

The turnover program, facilitated by officers of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and an opening prayer, followed by messages from school and bank representatives.

“This is a way for BDO Network Bank to fulfill its advocacy—service to the community,” said Norman Vic Aycocho, BDO Network Bank Sales Head.

Aycocho emphasized the bank’s commitment to extending assistance to communities through initiatives that contribute to education and school development.

BDO Network Bank President Jesus Antonio S. Itchon also commended the school’s welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness during the program, saying, “Ang linis. Ang ganda. Ang ayos ng pagtanggap niyo sa amin.”

Itchon further highlighted the role of learners in nation-building, stating, “Students are the future. Sila ang makakaayos.”

During the turnover ceremony, the bank donated 20 pieces of 9-inch paint rollers, 20 pieces of 7-inch paint rollers, 20 paint brushes, 20 paint trays, 19 brooms, 30 reed brooms, 20 dust pans, six packs of rugs, and cans of paint to support the school’s preparation activities.

Following the turnover of donations and presentation of Certificates of Appreciation, representatives from BDO Network Bank participated in painting classrooms on the third and fourth floors of DepEd Building C as part of their volunteer service for Brigada Eskwela 2026.
