The Marikina High School Quadrangle transformed into a venue of worship, cultural exchange, and youth fellowship as the Missionary Club of Ilshin National Girls’ High School from South Korea conducted a missionary program on January 6, 2026, from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The missionary activity was carried out by students, members, and officials of Ilshin National Girls’ High School Missionary Club, in partnership with the administration, teachers, and students of Marikina High School. The visiting group chose Marikina High School due to its strong reputation for active student organizations, well-organized school programs, and emphasis on values education, which closely align with the missionary club’s goal of sharing the Word of God in a respectful and meaningful educational setting. The openness of MHSians to faith-based and cultural exchanges further made the school an ideal venue for an orderly and impactful engagement.
Throughout the program, the Korean missionaries delivered a series of faith-centered dance and song performances that portrayed themes of God’s love, grace, and acceptance, using the arts as a medium to connect with the student audience. These performances were met with active participation and enthusiasm from the attendees.
Adding an interactive and cultural element to the program, the missionaries introduced the Happy Play Cup, a popular Korean game that encouraged teamwork, participation, and camaraderie among students. The activity served not only as entertainment but also as a bridge for cultural understanding between Filipino and Korean youth.
The event concluded with a Bible discussion that focused on the acceptance of God’s love, personal faith, and freedom from sin, allowing students to reflect on the spiritual messages shared throughout the program. The missionary visit successfully combined faith formation, cultural exchange, and youth engagement, leaving a meaningful impression on the Marikina High School community.
